19-20 January 2008 Fairford

We had Bethany to stay for the night so that her parents could have a night away to celebrate their second wedding anniversary. Annie and Gerry had a wonderful time with Annie doing all the hard work – changing nappies and preparing food etc. Gerry just enjoyed himself!! We have had a lot of rain lately and Fairford is once again threatened by floods – water levels are only a few inches below the entrances to many houses on Milton Street. So Annie found a pair of wellingtons for Bethany. They were a bit large, but Bethany thought they were wonderful and wore them around the house more than she did outside! Bethany was perfectly behaved for the whole time her parents were away especially at Church on Sunday morning – only one murmur during the whole service. Gerry was relieved, as he was sitting in the congregation with Bethany whilst Annie sang with the choir. Jenny and Mark arrived back after lunch on Sunday having enjoyed their night away in Cheltenham. Sadly, they had to go back home shortly aferwards but not before posing for a family photograph.
