10 November 2013 – Fairford

We celebrated an early Christmas today as we managed to get all of our UK based children and grandchildren to The Nook for lunch.  Many thanks to everyone for making the effort especially Jess and Jon who rearranged travel plans to return from Amsterdam early and to James and Hannah for bringing Rosie for her first stay away from home.

The weather was kind and the older grandchildren enjoyed playing tag in the garden with mum and dad and grandpa.  They also enjoyed playing with the extended train layout even though it is by no means finished.  Annie did all the hard work and provided a superb lunch that was eaten by everyone except six weeks old Rosie who remained exceptionally well behaved whilst we ate.   Sorry not to have got everyone in the photograph showing the lunch table! Whilst the adults demolished s variety of delicious deserts, Bethany, Callum and Elsie each enjoyed a chocolate magnum.

James, Hannah and Rosie stayed the night but everyone else left by tea time.

Thanks again to Jenny, Mark,  Lucy,  James,  Jess,  Jon,  Hannah and James for travelling to Fairford and making the day very special for Annie and Gerry.
